ECB Governing Council can wait until March Next week, on Thursday, the ECB Governing Council will meet and decide on future monetary policy. We rule out any changes to key interest rates or other monetary policy tools. Furthermore, we do not expect any decisive changes to the statements in either the press release or President Lagarde's press conference and therefore no new signals for the markets. We believe that the door for interest rate cuts will only be opened verbally at the March meeting. |
