ECB and US Fed will disagree with markets Next week, the ECB Governing Council will decide on monetary policy. A change in key interest rates can be virtually ruled out. The body’s communication should also remain unchanged from the previous two meetings and continue to refer to likely unchanged interest rates. One day before the ECB Governing Council, the US Fed will announce its decision on monetary policy. The decisive body, the FOMC, should leave key interest rates unchanged. However, a further interest rate hike cannot be ruled out completely. |
