ECB slips into the red The ECB reported a loss of EUR 1.3bn for 2023. High inflation and increased interest rates led to a sharp rise in interest expenses. At the same time, the value of the assets held in the portfolio fell. The ECB's primary task of ensuring price stability in the Eurozone remains unaffected by this development. After 2.8% in January, we expect inflation to stabilize in February. In the corporate segment, the positive factors predominate. |
