Special Report | Corporate Schuldscheindarlehen 1HY 2019 In the first half of 2019, companies have placed around EUR 14bn in the form of Schuldscheindarlehen in more than 80 transactions. Austrian issuers placed EUR 1.5bn in ten transactions, representing a market share of approximately 10%. From Eastern Europe, three Czech issuers participated. The diversity of the Schuldschein market has increased further. Changes and new developments in the areas of digitalization, sustainability / green securities and transfer placements in the secondary market render it more lively, more modern and more transparent and hence more accessible – inter alia also for potential new market participants. We expect that 2019 will be one of the stronger Schuldschein issuance years and forecast Schuldschein issuance volume of EUR 28-30bn for the full year, but are not ruling out another record year either. |
