USA 1Q24: Positive earnings surprises Rating changes: Apple, AMD, Home Depot, Fomento Economico Mexicano, NextEra Energy, BNP Paribas, Shell, Inditex Stock market update: In the current reporting season for the first quarter, around 20% of companies in the US have published their quarterly results. The reported earnings of 74% of companies exceeded expectations. The forecast earnings growth rate for the 1Q is +0.5% (y/y). Sales should increase by +3.5% in 1Q. For the second quarter, earnings growth is expected to accelerate to +9.6% (y/y). |
