Inflation geht im Mai weiter zurück Heute hat die Statistik Austria ihre Schnellschätzung der österreichischen Inflation veröffentlicht. Die Inflation, gemessen am Harmonisierten Verbraucherpreisindex (HVPI) betrug 3,3%, damit gegenüber April 2024 rückläufig. Die am Verbraucherpreisindex (VPI) gemessene Inflation ging im Vergleich zum April um 0,2 Prozentpunkte zurück und lag bei 3,5%. Dieser Inflationsrückgang ist vor allem auf geringere Preissteigerungen in Branchen wie Wohnen inklusive Energie zurückzuführen. Auch die Teuerung bei Nahrungsmitteln liegt weiter etwas unter dem Durchschnitt, die Preisanstiege in der Gastronomie hingegen deutlich darüber. Für 2024 insgesamt erwarten wir eine HVPI-Inflation von rund 3,4 %. |
