Romania Education Special Report | Boosting Prosperity Through Education From low participation in early childhood education (and exhibiting a downward trend in recent years), to modest lifelong learning for adults, education requires deep changes in Romania. Increased awareness for a comprehensive reform of the education system among decision-makers, including concrete steps for better remuneration of public employees in the education sector in 2023, are positive signs. Making full use of EU funds, offering tax deductions for private individuals for spending on private education, building partnerships between companies and schools / universities and greater integration with the European education network could lift the Romanian education system, making it a relevant contributor to economic growth. |
