Credit Markets Weekly | Spotlight on Monetary Policy On 12 September the ECB Council decided to implement a series of fresh monetary easing measures. The crucial issue for credit markets was probably the announcement that the ECB's asset purchase program will be resumed. This week the focus of market participants was once again on the FOMC meeting. The FOMC decided to cut the federal funds rate by 25 basis points, in line with expectations.
