Markets not yet pricing in Trump In general, the upcoming elections in the US have had little impact on the markets so far. This is probably due to the fact that the race is still close and there are still more than three months to go before a decision is made. Also, it is not unusual for the markets to only react to the outcome of the elections. However, Trump's political agenda, even if it is anything but clear-cut, has the potential for far-reaching economic repercussions. The first flash estimate of sentiment among manufacturing and services providers for the Eurozone, Germany and France will be published next week. Following the disappointing development in June, we expect sentiment to brighten slightly in July. |
