What will the US Federal Reserve signal to the markets? The Fed's interest rate-setting committee, the FOMC, meets next week. A change in key interest rates can be ruled out. Nevertheless, it will be an exciting meeting. The market will be waiting for clues as to when the first rate cut could take place. The focus will be on the new survey of the relevant FOMC meeting participants, which was last conducted in December. A flash estimate of PMI data in the Eurozone, Germany and France for March will also be published. After a slight recovery in the previous months, manufacturing sentiment stabilized at a still low level in February. In the current environment, we expect at least a stabilization and possibly a further improvement in the mood of companies in March. |
