US Fed continues to wait and see The FOMC, the US Fed's interest rate-setting committee, meets next week. A change in key interest rates can be virtually ruled out. Although the latest inflation data showed an easing of price pressure, this came after three months of excessively high inflation rates. The markets' attention will focus on the new “dot plot”, i.e. the new survey of the relevant FOMC meeting participants, and here the expectations for key interest rates until the end of the year. The main focus will be on whether the median will shift. In our view, the outcome of the survey is open. |
