ECB on course to cut interest rates At the meeting that ended today, the ECB Governing Council essentially met the market's expectations. The key interest rates were left unchanged and the statements continued to prepare the markets for a rate cut in June. Of course, there was no commitment, but the wording makes an imminent easing of monetary policy very likely. |
