Serbia Special Report: Serbia eyeing an investment grade Wee see the change of the outlook to positive as a likely scenario in Serbia. Serbia sustained solid economic development, despite headwinds and high inflation and interest rate environment. External position is sound, as current account deficit has been narrowing and flow of Foreign Direct Investments remains solid. Comparison with BB+ / Ba1 peers makes Serbia stand out in key indicators such as GDP per capita. While positive outlook is quite likely, upgrade may remain beyond reach, due to political factors. |
