German exports feel tailwind from China The National People's Congress has been meeting in China since March 5. In view of the disappointing economic development in 2023 and numerous economic problems China is currently facing, the current congress is particularly in focus. Interestingly, there has been a noticeable increase in lending momentum since November 2023, thanks to monetary easing measures by the People's Bank of China. Historically, there has been a positive correlation between the momentum of German exports to China and the momentum of lending in China. |
