German draft budget for 2024 under risk The German government recently reallocated special budget funds from the coronavirus pandemic with the aim of using these funds for the numerous economic and ecological challenges currently facing the country (digitalization, green transformation, energy cost support). By reallocating the funds, the government wanted to circumvent the fiscal restrictions of the "debt brake". However, the German Federal Constitutional Court declared the reallocation unconstitutional last week. |
