PKO Bank Polski

PKO Bank Polski (PKO BP) positions itself as a universal bank with a business focus on retail banking in its Polish home market. There it is market leader and with total assets of around PLN 377bn (EUR 83bn).

In the 2020 financial year, the group result of PBO BP fell noticeably to PLN -2.6bn from PLN 4.0bn in the previous year. The main reason for the sharp decline in net income was increased provisions for legal risks.

The bank has a number of capital market instruments outstanding and issues bonds on both the Polish and international capital markets. In recent years the bank has promoted issuance of covered bonds.
