| Inflation gets around the peak |
This week, Croatia will publish its December inflation number as the last country in the region. We expect it to remain flat compared to the previous month. Apart from Hungary, inflation seems to have reached the peaked as it has been clearly plateauing over last couple of months. The Fitch assessment of Hungary’s rating is due this Friday. We believe that a change of the outlook to negative is a likely scenario, and we hope that a downgrade is still not in the cards. |
