Události v EU: Von der Leyen bude pokračovat dalších pět let jako šéfka Evropské komise. - Kandidátem české vlády na post eurokomisaře je Jozef Síkela. - Předsedkyní Evropského parlamentu bude opět Roberta Metsola. - Stav právního státu: Česko si podle Komise polepšilo, nejvíce problémů má Maďarsko či Slovensko. - Nelegální migrace do EU klesla za prvních sedm měsíců roku o 36 %. - Efekt brexitu: Potraviny z EU se na britské pulty dostávají se zpožděním.

Index prosperity Česka: Hypotéky, spotřebitelské úvěry, půjčky od příbuzných nebo nebankovních institucí v současnosti splácí bezmála polovina produktivní české populace. Podle Indexu prosperity a finančního zdraví Čechů půjčky častěji využívají lidé s vyššími příjmy, především na dlouhodobé výdaje, jako je například nákup auta nebo bytu. S exekučním řízením se osobně nebo alespoň v rámci jedné domácnosti setkala pětina Čechů. Pozitivním zjištěním je fakt, že již několik let v řadě se počet lidí v exekuci snižuje.

Téma: Trh s papírovými obaly - V EU působí téměř 7 tisíc firem zaměřených na výrobu vlnitého papíru, lepenky a obalů. Největšími producenty jsou Německo, Itálie a Francie, přičemž Česko se v roce 2020 umístilo na 10. místě. V ČR tržby firem vyrábějících papírové produkty v roce 2022 přesáhly 80 mld. Kč (růst o 20 % yoy). Ceny papírových výrobků prudce vzrostly v letech 2021-2022, v roce 2023 ale opět poklesly.
