Podnikání v zahraničí: Lotyšsko, červenec 2024
V roce 2023 se reálný HDP Lotyšska snížil o 0,3 %. Svůj podíl na tom měla jak slabá domácí poptávka, tak i nižší export, naopak růst zaznamenaly investice a výdaje na veřejnou spotřebu. Pro letošní rok Komise odhaduje růst lotyšské ekonomiky o 1,7 % HDP.

Díky poklesu cen energií a obecně plošnému zpomalení růstu cen dochází ke snižování inflace, která ještě v roce 2022 činila v Lotyšsku 17,2 %. Pro rok 2024 by míra inflace měla nadále klesat (z předchozích 9,1 %) na 1,6 %, v roce 2025 by měla dosáhnout 2 %.

Hodnota vývozu zboží z Lotyšska v roce 2023 činila podle předběžných údajů lotyšského statistického úřadu 18,9 miliardy eur, což je meziročně o 11,2 % méně. Zboží se v roce 2023 dovezlo za 23,2 miliardy eur (o 12,5 % méně než v roce 2022). V roce 2023 tvořil vývoz do zemí EU 69,1 % celkového objemu exportu.

Lotyšsko nabízí investorům různé typy pobídek. Mezi daňové pobídky patří například zvýhodnění v rámci pěti speciálních ekonomických zón (80% sleva na daň z nemovitosti, na korporátní daň či srážkovou daň z dividend). Dále Lotyšsko nabízí půjčky skrze instituci ALTUM, jako např. půjčka pro podnikatele, venture kapitálové fondy, financování pro sociální podnikání (granty od 5 000 do 200 000 eur), půjčky pro energetickou účinnost či exportní záruky.
