US Fed leaves much open As had been widely expected, the relevant body (FOMC) of the US Fed decided to raise the range for the key interest rate by 25 basis points (bp) to 4.5 - 4.75% yesterday. The text in the statement hardly contained any changes. The FOMC continues to believe that ongoing rate hikes will be appropriate to bring inflation back to the 2% target. |
