Credit Markets Weekly | Investors are becoming more selective

Over the past two weeks, high yield (HY) spreads have widened under the impact of weak economic indicators and the Thomas Cook default.

2016 showed that the launch of ECB net purchases could also create support on the high-yield market. Whereas in June 2016 the Brexit vote set off a temporary bout of volatility, at the end of October 2019 it could be a hard Brexit. In the current environment, we prefer the BB segment.
