SI Short Note: Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) won the most votes in 2018 parliamentary election

Elections outcome failed to bring major surprises as center-right Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) came out as relative winners, taking 25 seats out of 90, while newcomer Marjan Šarec (LMS) was runners-up with 13 seats. SDS expectedly came victorious, but faces limited coalition potential – wide center-left Government looks like baseline scenario, with risks of new snap elections not negligible.
