AT: Economy shrinks in third quarter The Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO) released its flash estimate of Austrian economic output in 3Q24 today. According to the institute, Austrian GDP contracted y/y, but grew compared to the previous quarter. This is a further sign of stabilization in the Austrian economy. In view of a revision of GDP time series data by Statistics Austria, we are adjusting our forecasts for 2024 and expect GDP growth of -0.5%. For 2025, we now forecast growth of +0.7%. |
