New record high The global benchmark index reached a new record high at the end of the year. The 2021 increase is +30% in EUR terms. US equities outperformed again this year. Emerging market equities continued their longstanding underperformance (EUR +2%). Technology stocks were most in demand (+40%), followed by oil & gas stocks.
