ESG: Transparency due to Disclosure Requirements 2021 is the year of EU regulation for greater sustainability (ESG), particularly for the financial industry. The European Banking Authority released a new consultation proposal for the disclosure of ESG-related risks of financial institutions including a new Green Asset Ratio. Meanwhile, recent increases in yields have met with clearly audible disapproval by the ECB. The verbal intervention did not fail to have the desired effect. The foreseeable increase in the volatility of inflation rates and uncertainty over the economic recovery should not result in a sustained upturn in the pace of inflation.
