Draghi presents report on EU competitiveness In his report to the European Commission, the former ECB President and Italian Prime Minister provided a series of measures to increase European competitiveness, primarily through greater innovative strength. He emphasises that decarbonisation only represents an opportunity for growth if economic measures are in line with climate targets. Otherwise, it could harm competitiveness. However, the financing of the measures is controversial. An interest rate cut of 25 bps is expected at tomorrow's ECB Governing Council meeting.
