| Slovakia on its way to sustainable development |
Slovakia on its way to sustainable development Compared to the EU, Slovakia ranks among the less successful countries in terms of meeting the sustainable development goals (SDGs). For two thirds of the goals, Slovakia’s performance is below the EU average; however, the good news is that progress has been made on almost all SDGs. The only exception is the goal of Affordable and Clean Energy. In the upcoming years, the most significant challenges will be the targets associated with the aforementioned Available and Clean Energy as well as areas such as Quality of Education, or Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. We have selected some indicators for the thematic areas that deserve consideration and attention, either with regard to Slovakia's performance, or because of their important outreach to the implementation of the development goals. |
