Services inflation finally declines At first glance, there was no further progress in inflation in April, as it stabilized at the level of 2.4% y/y. A further slight decline in food prices and core inflation was offset by increasing upward pressure from energy prices. In our view, however, the noticeable fall in service provider inflation to 3.7% y/y was particularly important. This is because service provider inflation had previously stabilized at the level of 4.0% y/y for several months. |
